1. Principle analysis

1.1 In the AC circuit, there are two types of electrical power supplied to the load by the power supply; One is active power and the other is reactive power.

Active power: the electrical power required for normal operation, that is, the electrical power that converts electrical energy into other forms of energy (mechanical energy, light energy, thermal energy).

Reactive power: more abstract, it is the electrical power used for the exchange of electric fields and magnetic fields in circuits, and used to establish and maintain magnetic fields in electrical equipment. It does not work externally, but transforms into other forms of energy. Any electrical equipment with electromagnetic coils, to establish a magnetic field, must consume reactive power. For example, a 40-watt fluorescent lamp, in addition to more than 40 watts of active power (the ballast also needs to consume a part of the active power) to emit light, also needs about 80 reactive power for the coil of the ballast to establish an alternating magnetic field. Because it does not do external work, it is called "reactive".

Q: Reactive power (Kvar), S: apparent power (KVA), P: active power (Kw), PF: power factor

1.2 Adverse effects of low reactive power:

1. Reduce the output of the active power of the generator

2. Reduce the power supply capacity of transmission and transformation equipment

3. Line loss increases and power loss increases

4. The power factor decreases, the electricity bill increases, and the cost increases

5. Make the electrical equipment not give full play

The Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection Department of the National Development and Reform Commission announced on the 5th that the "Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industry Development Plan" has been drafted for soliciting opinions and will be submitted to the State Council for approval after being revised and improved. The energy-saving and environmental protection industry is a sub industry of strategic emerging industries, which meets the requirements of low-carbon economy and economic structure transformation. According to reports, in order to accelerate the cultivation of strategic emerging industries, the National Development and Reform Commission and relevant departments launched the preparation of the "Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industry Development Plan" in the second half of 2009. On the basis of the already formed draft for soliciting opinions, opinions from relevant departments of the State Council, industry associations, and experts were solicited twice. Based on in-depth research on major technologies, modifications and improvements will be submitted to the State Council for approval in the near future. The energy-saving and environmental protection industry includes energy-saving, resource recycling, and environmental protection, involving energy-saving and environmental protection technologies and equipment, products and services, etc. Since 2000, due to the country's increased investment in environmental infrastructure construction, it has effectively driven the market demand of related industries. The overall scale of the environmental protection industry has rapidly expanded, the industrial field has continued to expand, the industrial structure has gradually adjusted, and the industrial level has significantly improved. At present, the overall annual growth rate of China's environmental protection industry is about 25%, forming an industrial system with complete categories, wide fields, and a certain scale, which has become an important component of the national economic structure.
